Retailer Onboarding Guide

This step-by-step guide will walk you through the complete process of integrating your retail business with the Jay marketplace, allowing you to sell products through contextual streaming content.

Step 1: Commercial Agreement

Before technical integration begins, you'll need to establish a commercial partnership:

  1. Finalize partnership terms with your streaming service partner
  2. Agree on sales commission structure
  3. Define content titles/formats to be used
  4. Determine products/product ranges to be featured

Step 2: Stripe Payment Setup

The Jay marketplace uses Stripe to handle payments and commission splits:

  1. Jay sets up a commission split structure in the Jay marketplace
  2. Jay creates a Stripe Connected Account for your business
  3. You will receive an email with a link to the Stripe-hosted onboarding portal
  4. Complete your account details and KYC verification through Stripe's secure interface

Stripe requires verification of your identity and business to comply with financial regulations. For more details, refer to the Know Your Customer (KYC) documents: What companies in Germany need to know.

Completing your Stripe verification promptly will ensure there are no delays in processing payments once your integration goes live.

Step 3: Provide Business Information

Submit your essential business details to Jay:

  • Company name and legal entity details
  • Primary contact email for technical and operational communications
  • High-resolution company logo (for display within the shopping experience)
  • Website URL
  • URLs to your legal pages:
    • Privacy Policy
    • Terms of Service
